Free access to the Elsevier collection

Users of the UIB library will have free access to the entire Elsevier e-book collection until 31 October.

The Elsevier publishing house offers institutions free access to everything e-book fund. The collection currently has 38.587 titles, and will also include books published during this period.

The specimens included in the collection cover various disciplines: health sciences, biology, engineering, psychology, social sciences, mathematics, agriculture, etc.

You can access the resource from library catalog and search directly on the Sciencedirect website.

Elsevier e-books have no access limitation and can be printed and downloaded.

Stalmat. Access Tests

Registration is open for the entrance exams for the Estalmat program (Stimulus of Mathematical Talent) for the biennium 2020-2022. The deadline is September 27.

For students born in 2007 or 2008. On October 3, the selection tests for the 2020-2022 biennium will be held.

The next information session by videoconference will be on Wednesday, September 23, at 19 p.m.

The main objective of the postgraduate course is to provide non-university teachers with the knowledge, tools and strategies necessary for the transformation of schools into co-educational schools through the development of the following skills:

Identify and analyze the characteristics and learning processes of genres in contemporary societies.
Design, implement and evaluate educational practices based on the integral development of the person regardless of stereotypes and roles according to sex, orientation and sexual identity.
Develop an academic and professional orientation not biased by gender.
Design, implement and evaluate co-education plans in schools.

Addressed to:

To teachers of different levels of non-university education.
To university graduates in specialties related to Education and / or who want to dedicate themselves professionally to teaching.

University Specialist in Hearing and Language. UIB's own degree (30 ECTS)

This course offers the possibility of acquiring a differential specialization that allows to identify and classify the disorders of the language and the hearing that can appear in a students so heterogeneous like the one that currently find in the classrooms of infantile and primary.

There is the possibility of taking the full course or carrying it out in a modular and independent way, doing only the topics that are most interesting.

Especially to graduates in primary education with the mention of Hearing and Language.
It is also aimed at graduates / graduates / graduates in Primary Education of other mentions, in Early Childhood Education, in Psychology, in Speech Therapy, in Pedagogy, or in Psychopedagogy and Nursing.

University Expert in Interiority, Self-Esteem and Assertiveness. UIB's own degree (15 ECTS) (EDICIO MALLORCA).

The main objective of this training is to provide theoretical knowledge and practical applications of the current results of scientific research in emotional skills. In addition to providing content, methodologies and techniques related to emotional skills, it looks at the world of emotions and rationality from a broad and interdisciplinary perspective, which complements the practical part related to emotional skills with the contributions of various currents. and approaches that facilitate the development of human potential such as neurolinguistic programming, coaching, mindfulness, focusing and body awareness, among others.

Addressed to:

To people with diplomas, degrees or graduates in degrees related to teaching, pedagogy, health sciences, psychology, social work, social education and mediation.
To the educational community in general and to the different sectors of society sensitive to the need to acquire skills, knowledge and emotional skills, as well as professionals from the business world interested in enhancing their skills and the quality of relationships and of human resources.
Also to people who, despite not having a university degree, show interest in knowing the contents and techniques of the course; especially mothers and fathers who want to develop emotional skills to improve communication and the educational process with their children.

Assertiveness, Relaxation and Conflict Resolution Course

This course is part of the context of current studies on emotional skills.

It provides theoretical contents and basic practical resources for:

Facilitate harmony and congruence between thought, feelings and behavior at the intrapersonal level.
Encourage assertive attitudes and communication in interpersonal relationships.
Prevent and constructively deal with possible conflicts inherent in human relations.
