The Philosophy and Social Sciences Section of the Institute of Catalan Studies announces the Carme Karr Award for research and essay and the Salvador Giner Award for doctoral theses.
Both prizes are endowed with 3.000 euros and the aim of the two calls is to promote and distinguish the realization of research works and essays and doctoral theses in the Catalan language on topics in the fields of Section of Philosophy and Social Sciences (SFCS): communication, anthropology, law, economics, philosophy, geography, demography, pedagogy, psychology, sociology and political science.
The deadline for accepting nominations for the SFCS awards closes on December 2, 2022, at 13 p.m.

Doctoral thesis defense
Monday, October 3, 2022, the defense of the doctoral thesis took place Intervention models in early care: Perspectives of professionals and families, by Sara Bagur Pons.
The research, enrolled in the program Doctorate in Education, was directed by Dr. Sebastià Verger, from the Department of Applied Pedagogy and Educational Psychology; Dr. Maria Rosa Rosselló Ramon, from the Department of Applied Pedagogy and Educational Psychology, and Dra. Berta Paz, from the Department of Nursing and Physiotherapy. The three directors are part of the Inclusive School and Diversity Research Group (GREID), of the IRIE.
