About the Observatory

The Institute for Educational Research and Innovation is aware of the transfer and innovation work carried out by its associated groups and the need to support them. In addition, and with the aim of promoting the transfer, it wants to strengthen the work of the institution as a single entity that works in a coordinated way for the improvement of the education system of the Balearic Islands.

That is why it is proposing an extraordinary call for grants to the associated groups, aimed at supporting the transfer or publication of the results of their research.

 

Condicions

  • The total amount of the call is 4.000 euros for all grants.
  • Research groups associated with the IRIE may be presented.

·       Each group will be able to access a maximum of one annual grant.

·       Financial aid will be used to transfer knowledge generated by IRIE partner groups:

    • Translations / correction of publications
    • Scientific publications
    • Publication of other materials
    • Presentation at conferences
    • Organization of courses and / or conferences
    • Other similar activities duly justified
  • In all cases, the proposals must be justified, with the specification of objectives, duration (in the case of travel) and budget.
  • The deadline for allocating expenses to this call is three months from the date of the award.

 

How to apply for grants

The call rwill be open until the end of the year (November 30, 2022). The application will be formalized in two steps:

  • You need to download and fill out the «application document». It is important that both the person in charge of the application and the Principal Investigator of the research group sign this document electronically for it to be valid.
  • Fill in the following form and attach the «application document»Signed.

 

The submitted application must include the following sections:

  • Title of the proposal and specification of the activities to be carried out
  • Calendar forecast
  • Expenditure forecast
  • List of research staff who will take part

Evaluation and selection of applications

The IRIE Standing Committee will evaluate the applications and decide on the grants in each case.

Given the budget of the specific action and the financial availability resulting from the total number of grants required, the commission reserves the right to adjust the amounts awarded to each project.

The resolution of this call will be published on the website of theIrie and will be communicated by email to applicants.

The resolution of the concessions will assess:

  • The degree of adequacy of the proposal to the aims and objectives of the IRIE (scope of action, transfer of research and interdisciplinarity)
  • The difficulties of financing the proposal in other ways
  • Participation in the proposal of other research groups or organizations
  • The impact of the actions and results associated with the proposal in the field of education

 

Payment of aid

The documentary justification of the subsidized expenses will be made in accordance with the provisions of Regulatory Agreement 11216 of December 17, 2014.

·      Expenses incurred must be in line with the budget submitted with the application.

·      The product of the transfer must state that it has had the support of the Institute for Educational Research and Innovation, and the affiliation of the authors must be the IRIE.

·      Eligible costs must be directly related to the transfer, with no other funding being funded.

If there are significant deviations from the forecasts, the IRIE must be notified and the need justified.

 

Obligations of beneficiaries

Beneficiaries of the grants must accept the grant and comply with the deadlines and requirements established in the call.

They also undertake to state that the action has counted “with the support of the Institute for Educational Research and Innovation”In all the promotional materials of the activities, in the publications carried out, and / or of other results linked to the concession, and, in case it is possible, to include the institutional image of the IRIE. A moreover, it should be noted that the authorship of the authors is the IRIE.

Once the activity or transfer product has been completed, a copy of the work will be sent to the IRIE.

 

If the subsidized activities are not duly justified and / or the IRIE is not stated in the promotional material and the affiliation, the beneficiaries will have to give up the financial aid granted.

 

IRIE reserves the right to request, at any time during the procedure and if necessary, additional documentation.
