Description
- The IRIE External Scientific Committee is an advisory body that can be created or dissolved at the proposal of the Institute Council, provided that financial resources are available to ensure its viability guaranteed through the Institute's budgets.
- The External Scientific Committee will be made up of prestigious people working in areas related to each of the IRIE's research areas.

The functions of the External Scientific Committee are:
- Evaluate and issue reports on the adequacy of the objectives and the annual and multiannual plan of the Institute.
- Evaluate and issue reports on the assignment, modification or termination of individual research groups or researchers.

Members of the External Scientific Committee may recover all travel, subsistence or performance expenses incurred in carrying out and performing their own duties.
