On Tuesday, March 26, 2019, the H2030 Study was presented, a perspective of the society of the Balearic Islands with a view to 2030.
The volume, the result of the collaboration between the Economic and Social Council of the Balearic Islands (CES) and the University of the Balearic Islands, covers areas as diverse as health research, industrial policy, climate change, knowledge economy or the forces of digital transformation, among others. Chapter 7, Education and Training, has been prepared by members of the IRIE Education and Citizenship research group.
El Initial Teacher Training Improvement Plan, fruit of the agreement between the Conselleria d'Educació i Universitat and the University of the Balearic Islands, seeks the improvement of the training of the profesorado like indispensable element for the improvement of the quality of the education.
In 2017, through the Call for research and innovation projects aimed at improving the initial training of teachers at the IRIE and the Ministry of Education and University, research was launched for the elaboration of these specific tests. The aim is to detect the most suitable people to dedicate themselves to teaching. The plan envisages implementing this selection process definitively in the 2020-2021 academic year.
Coordinated by Dra. Carlota Vicens-Pujol, from the research group ILLA (Language, Literature and Learning Research Group), and with the participation of a dozen researchers, Islas de las cien voces is a study of the imaginary of the Balearic Islands in the European literatures of the XNUMXth century, with the obligatory allusion to the tourist development.
