IRIE, as a Research Institute, wants to join the celebration of 11F, International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a claim still essential.
Although gender bias is a reality in certain professions (especially those called STEM: science, technology, engineering and mathematics), it is also true that there are a significant number of women who develop their activity effectively in these sectors . However, it is necessary to make these professionals visible and to create benchmarks in which young women can look up to.
The IRIE wants to encourage everyone to participate in the events that the Scientific Dissemination and Culture Unit (UDCC-UIB) has organized for this reason and to make known the task that the 11FBalearic platform carried out systematically in order to promote scientific vocations in girls and young people.
