Presentation of the book: Teach philosophy at the dawn of the University (1200-1240), of the doctor Antoni Bordoy, researcher of the group Studies of culture, society, communication and contemporary thought (CSCP), and professor of the Department of Philosophy and Social Work of the University of the Balearic Islands, which took place on November 19 in Can Oil, Palma.
With the aim of helping to understand our present from the past, this book explores the origins of the European university system: the reasons that motivated it, the discussions that took place, the resulting structures, the study plans and the contents that were taught. The book includes the translation of Accessus, the first university teaching manual that is conserved and that corresponds to the studies of liberal arts and philosophy.
