Abstract

The problem of drug use often begins during adolescence. Maria Valero de Vicente 's doctoral thesis confirms the importance of review evidence on the effectiveness of selective family intervention, verify the inclusion of a gender perspective in family prevention, examine the differential effectiveness of family programs by gender, and evaluate the results of the Family Competence Program in search of specific profiles based on family dynamics.

In the present thesis, it is shown that family intervention is effective in improving family dynamics and positive parenting.

Dra. Valero proposes the need to make an effort to standardize the methodologies of preventive programs in order to be able to establish valid comparisons and more complete studies on their effectiveness.
