The Network of Institutes Connected by Change was born with the aim of promoting global active methodologies within the framework of the institutes of the Balearic Islands. IES Antoni Maura, Junípero Serra and Emili Darder, from Palma, are taking part; IES Pau Casesnoves, Inca, IES Porto Cristo, IES Guillem Cifre, Pollença, IES Blanca Dona, Ibiza, IES Porreres, IES Marratxí, IES Felanitx and the IES Alcúdia.
Network objectives
- Promote the implementation of active methodologies and classroom management
- Generate the implementation of organizational and management models based on the cooperative culture of the center that allow the implementation of active methodologies in secondary schools
- Receiving and providing training (TRAINING FOR SCHOOLS) (INTER-SCHOOL TRAINING-PRIMARY SCHOOL TRAINING-IRIE TRAINING)
- Sharing resources to train network members
- Sharing experiences: creating a resource bank
- Design and apply systems for evaluating the operation and activities of the network
- Promote relations with the Ministry of Education and University
- Promoting the outsourcing of network actions: disseminating what we do

Registration requirements
- Willingness to participate in a network of collaboration between centers. This fact must be proven by the management team from the support of the faculty
- Having at least 30% of teaching staff willing to be involved in the project
- Have implemented active methodologies globally, at least, in an entire ESO course
- Undertaking to participate in the training activities promoted by the network

Manifesting the will to participate in the exchange of materials, productions and proposals around the active methodologies implemented and to improve them in a collaborative way
The Irie advises and provide support to the network
The network is associated with the Institute for Educational Research and Innovation (IRIE), which supports and provides advice through knowledge transfer and innovation support activities, through cooperation with its own research groups. high school.
IRIE has eleven consolidated research groups and twenty-nine associated research groups, with which members of the network will be able to establish collaborative relationships, share experiences, coordinate actions, establish research projects, experiment with new organizational formulas. and classroom management, training and participating in dissemination and training in other centers and with other teachers.
The IRIE will provide the network with spaces and materials for coordination (meeting rooms, virtual spaces and research support programs). He will also collaborate in the organization of seminars and conferences for the dissemination of network activities.
Activities planned for the first school year
- Set up initial network bases
- Create a virtual work platform
- Organise a symposium on the state-of-the-art and the foundations of activity methodologies in secondary education
- Produce a document on the minimum necessary conditions for enabling active methodologies to be implemented at secondary schools
Network meetings
The network meets every first Friday of the school year, at 9.30 am, in a videoconference room on the UIB campus and at the UIB headquarters in Ibiza and Menorca, in the event that there are institutes that are members of the network.
