Research seminars in IRIE*
On June 22, at 4 pm (Spanish time), a research seminar will be held in the IRIE, both face -to -face and online. The format and calendar of this activity will be as follows:
- From 4pm to 6pm. Workshop on integrity and ethics in research (in English). By Tomáš Foltýnek. It will be done face -to -face and also online for people who prefer this modality. The session will begin with a brief exposure to the causes and consequences of poor behavior in research. It will discuss what a culture of integrity in research means and what are the ethical dilemmas related to research. It will end with an interactive dilemmas game. This activity is part of: a) The RTI2018-098314-B-I00 project funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033/ and by Feder "a way of doing Europe" IB) the Iberian Network of Research in Academic Integrity ( https://red-ia.org/ ).
- From 18 to 19.30. European programs: an opportunity to finance educational innovation (in Spanish) . By M. Begoña Arenas Romero. This activity will be done online. European programs will be addressed as a way to finance educational research, tips will be given to opt for these aids, and the resolution of doubts will be resolved.
The seminar, in its face -to -face form, will take place in classroom 27 of the Sa Riera building (second floor), for those who wish to attend the first activity in person. In addition, these people will have the possibility of staying in the classroom during the second activity, which will be followed electronically.

About the speakers:
Dr. Tomáš foltýnek is a professor at the Faculty of Computer Science at Masaryk University (Czech Rep.). He is the Czech representative on the Pan -European Platform for Ethics, Transparency and Integrity in Education (ETINED) of the Council of Europe. He also serves as Deputy Chief of the Ethics Work Committee in Scientific and Pedagogical Work within the Council of Higher Education Institutions of the Czech Republic. He has participated and led several international projects on plagiarism and academic integrity. He is president of the European Network for Academic Integrity ( https://www.academicintegrity.eu/wp/ ) and has the certificate of trainer in integrity in the search of Virt2ue.
M. Begoña Arenas Romero is project coordinator at Innovation Training Center. He graduated in Law from the University of Granada. She was a junior and senior researcher in Scientler (at the Bologna headquarters) and production director at Scientler España, a company involved in the University of Granada, where she had been telecoming in the Gibraltar Campo since 2003 and then on the Costa del Sol. In 2015 he founded a new company with other colleagues, Innovatino Training Center , based in Palma and focusing on innovation in education and training based on new technologies. She is also an associate professor in the Unit, where she is the director of Final Project in different postgraduate courses.

This activity is intended that IRIE consolidated groups present their R&D projects, mainly those that have already ended, but they can also spread still active projects.
The activity is mainly aimed at members of the IRIE, doctoral students, university and university teaching staff, although any other interest in the subject may also attend.
The sessions will be held during time, on the last Wednesday or Thursday of each month.
