Summary

Concern about vocal pathologies and voice disorders is quite recent, and it is stated that our society is not aware that it is a health problem, taking center stage when dysfunctions arise. The research aims to show the existing awareness of the importance of the voice and disorders of the vocal production of children, based on the research done in three study groups: children, teachers and specialist doctors. We also want to find answers to the questions that are posed to us as language professionals towards the aforementioned theme. In terms of results, we have been able to verify the lack of epidemiological studies with respect to children's vocal alterations, as well as the terminological difficulties despite the efforts made in recent years. The study showed the lack of awareness towards voice and children's vocal alterations, being a field in an almost embryonic state in our country.
