Summary

This research thesis works with key concepts of self -regulated learning in order to direct design principles linked to serious game elements, design methodology is used in design based on the purpose of redesigning the serious game. Self -observation registration form, interview, participant observation and data crawling were used as data collection instruments.

It is concluded in this research work, as an approach, that the adaptation or inclusion of self -regulating strategies in serious game mechanics allow to enhance self -regulated learning in students who use them.
